A BG Group company operates the Blake field on behalf of its co-venturers Talisman and Petro Summit North Sea.

The field is located 100 km from Aberdeen in the Outer Moray Firth. Blake is a sub-sea development originally comprising six producing wells and two water-injection wells, tied back to an existing floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel called the Bleo Helm located over the Ross field some 9.5 km away.

The Blake subsea manifold has a spare connection slot for an additional producer well.
