A BG Group company operates the Everest platform on behalf of its co-venturers Hess Limited and Fina Exploration Ltd.

The Everest field is located 233 km to the east of Aberdeen in block 22/9, 22/10a and 22/14a of the Central North Sea.

The Everest platform is a fixed-jacket steel platform and supports 10 active wells, processing and gas facilities, with accommodation for 36 people.  The platform is linked by a 90m bridge to the unmanned Central Area Transmission System (CATS) Riser Platform.

Everest production is transported to the CATS Riser Platform. The gas is exported to Teesside via the Central Area Transmission System (CATS) and the liquids are transported to the Forties Pipeline System (FPS) via the Everest Liquids System (ELS).
