BG Group’s Asia Pacific headquarters are located in Singapore. In 2008, BG Group was appointed as the aggregator of LNG demand for the Singaporean market.
In April 2008, the Energy Market Authority (EMA) of Singapore appointed
BG Group as the aggregator of LNG demand for the Singaporean market. Under the agreement, BG Group will be responsible for sourcing and supplying up to 3 mtpa of LNG for up to 20 years. Initial deliveries are expected to begin in 2012/13 upon completion of the LNG import terminal, which will be located on Jurong Island in Singapore. BG Group and the EMA signed the Aggregator Agreement in June 2009.
BG Group will source LNG supply for Singapore from its large, growing and diversified flexible portfolio. It is envisaged that BG Group’s proposed QCLNG facility in Australia will serve as one of the sources of supply for Singapore.
