BG Group appoints Rob Booker as Executive Vice President, Human Resources
BG Group today announced the appointment of Robert Booker as Executive Vice President of Human Resources. Mr Booker, 42, will join the Group Executive Committee and will report directly to the Chief Executive, Frank Chapman. He joined BG Group in August 2006 and is currently the Group's General Manager, Remuneration and Performance Management.
Mr Booker will replace Peter Duffy as EVP HR. Mr Duffy is stepping down from his role for reasons of personal circumstances and will be leaving the Group. He had served on the Group Executive Committee as EVP HR since 2001.
BG Group Chief Executive Frank Chapman said: "I would like to congratulate Robert on his promotion into this key role. I would also like to thank Peter for his significant contribution to the development of the HR function. He has played an important part as a member of the Group Executive as the company has grown, and I wish him every success for the future."
