BG Group recruits graduates into two broad areas; Technical (e.g. engineering and geosciences) and Non-technical (e.g. business analysis and commercial). Each business area also has its own specific requirements:
We’re looking for graduates with a degree or equivalent in a management, scientific or financial discipline, demonstrable analytical skills and business acumen. Your communication skills and diplomacy will also be important – you’ll need to explain clearly and succinctly which factors most affect the value of our projects and quantify the risks and rewards involved.

We’re looking for graduates with commercial acumen and a 2:1 degree or higher from any discipline. We don't insist on specific subjects, but Business Studies, Economics, International Business, Management, Law and Engineering are all relevant.
Just as important as your academic qualifications, however, will be the personal, professional and business skills you bring. You must be highly organised, culturally sensitive, focused on delivery, and also be confident and persuasive enough to influence others to achieve a positive outcome.

We're looking for graduates with a degree or equivalent in any discipline, though ideally in a commerce, business, financial, economics, geology, geophysics or petroleum engineering discipline – your problem solving skills, poise under pressure and commitment to teamwork will also be important.

We're looking for graduates with a degree or equivalent in any discipline, though ideally in HR Management, Business Studies, Economics, International Business, Management Studies, Law, and Business Administration. Just as important as your academic qualifications, will be your personal, professional and business skills. You’ll need to be highly organised, culturally aware, have the ability to adapt to change, comfortable with dealing with individuals across the organisation, and you’ll have the confidence and persuasiveness to influence others. Previous experience working in HR is a desirable, but not necessary. We are also looking for candidates who are willing to travel and work abroad, as the graduate program involves at least one international placement.
