• One of our LNG ships can light up London for six days.
• We are joint operator of the giant Karachaganak field in Kazakhstan. Karachaganak is one of the largest gas condensate fields in the world. The recoverable reserves in place could fill the Royal Albert Hall in London five million times over.
• Five trips to the moon and back - Equivalent distance of nautical miles travelled by BG Group owned and chartered ships during 2008.
• In 2006 in Brazil, with our partners we made one of the most significant oil discoveries this decade with the Tupi field. The size of the field is vast, almost as big as Greater London with estimated reserves of five to eight billion barrels of oil.
• In 2007, we undertook the world’s largest 3D seismic survey in Brazil’s Santos Basin which covered more than 20,000 square kilometres.
